We are in that time period of the year when smartphone manufacturers will unveil their devices in the coming weeks. While we have heard for a while that Huawei is planning on launching a new flagship for couple of weeks, we finally have a date as a recent event invite seemingly confirms that the company will launch P20 on March 27.
The latest news comes as name of the upcoming model was first discovered via a trademark filing from the company with earlier this week, Roland Quandt seemingly confirmed the name on Twitter.
If accurate, then the P20 will mark a significant upgrade from the P10 from last year. If you have read reviews of P10 from last year, you might be aware that the smartphone was pretty decent with some minor flaws. For instance, the P10 featured excellent design features. However, users complained about the performance of the camera as well as steep price.
While we will have to wait couple of more weeks to find out the changes in the upcoming model, the announcement comes following the company’s struggle in recent times. Few weeks earlier, the company failed to secure a deal with both AT&T and Verizon as the company wanted to enter the US market.
