Although Google is consistent with its releases with different versions of Android, other smartphone manufacturers have been notoriously slow with releasing OS updates to their existing consumers. While OnePlus announced few months earlier that OnePlus 3 and 3T consumers will get Android Pie update for their devices, it’s been a long time since the announcement. However, the company finally followed up on its promise as both devices has got the Android Pie update.
OnePlus originally released both smartphones back in 2016. At the time, the company didn’t ship OnePlus 3T with Android Nougat although the operating system was available for manufacturers. While traditionally manufacturers have been slow, OnePlus has been particularly slower. For instance, the company announced earlier last year that OnePlus 3 and 3T will get Android Pie update.
However, it’s been a while and it’s good to see that OnePlus customers finally getting the highly anticipated update.
